Lite™ also contains a fully fortified vitamin and mineral profile to support horses at rest, or in work. It is suitable for heavy-breed performance horses, those prone to obesity, as well as horses suffering from metabolic disorders, such as, EMS, laminitis and Cushing's Disease.

A low starch, low sugar, low fat, high fibre concentrate feed specifically designed to fulfil the nutrient requirements of horses that require a reduced calorie diet from a small feed quantity.
Contains high levels of essential amino acids and branch chain amino acids (BCAA), to provide the building blocks of protein and support superior topline, muscle development and repair.
Supplies the high quality branch chain amino acids often missing from a roughage only, or restricted calorie, diet.
Contains highly digestible ‘Super Fibres’ to provide energy from fibre rather than grains, whilst supporting sensitive digestive systems and promoting healthy gut flora and function.
Specially formulated with low starch and sugar levels which make it safe to feed to horses with metabolic disease or those prone to laminitis or where a diet low in non-structural carbohydrates (NSC) is required.

The above table is a guide only and the amount fed should be adjusted according to the horse’s age, temperament, condition, bodyweight and workload.
Lite™ should be fed in conjunction with a minimum of 1% body weight of good quality roughage in the form of pasture, hay or chaff
To support healthy metabolism, the diet should be dividedinto at least three feeds daily, with a maximum of 0.5kg of Pegasus Lite™ per feed.
Lite™ should be introduced slowly to the diet over 7-10 days
Added electrolytes may be required during periods of heavy sweating.
Clean, fresh water should be available at all times.
